To make a prediction, select a game from the weekly schedule. Then, just hit the “create” button in the corner of the screen to predict away!
You can also scroll through the feed and use your coins to agree or disagree with predictions from other users — and take the winnings when you’re right!
The more predictions you get right, the more coins you win! At the end of each week, NFT prizes are awarded to the top 50% of finishers on the global coin leaderboard.
Coins are the currency of Stakes and are used to determine your position on our Weekly Leaderboard. You start with 100 coins each week to back up your predictions, but additional coins can be earned in the following ways:
This isn’t your typical sports betting experience. There’s no “house” and no odds – the number of coins you win depends on how many you stake, how many coins other users stake, and how many winners there are. When a prediction is resolved, the pot is split proportionally between the winners based on how many coins they originally risked.*
Apple Inc., Alphabet Inc., and Google and any of their subsidiaries are not sponsors of Stakes and are not involved in any way with the contests, sweepstakes, wagers and payouts made available therein.
The higher you climb on the Weekly Leaderboard, the more you win!
At the end of the week, we add up the coins you earned and rank your performance against all other Stakes players. Each leaderboard reward tier comes with its own NFT bundle for the week:
⭐⭐⭐ (Legendary) if you place in the top 10
⭐⭐ (Rare) if you place in the top 25%
⭐ (Common) if you place in the top 50%
You earn rewards for every tier you reach, not just where you finish. A week in the Top 10 gets you the Rare and Common NFTs as well as the Legendary NFTs!
Ever wish you had a trophy to commemorate a sports bet or prediction no one thought you’d get right? Called It Moments are special NFTs awarded to users who make rare and difficult predictions that come true!
There are two ways to earn a Called It Moment NFT. A minimum of two NFTs will be awarded daily by the Stakes content team for predictions made about the Featured Game of the Day, which you can find posted daily and weekly on our blog and social media. The content team may also award Called It Moment NFTs at their discretion to predictions that we deem too cool (or even legendary) to not acknowledge.
A Called It Moment’s rarity is determined by how many players answer correctly:
⭐⭐⭐(legendary) if 5% or fewer get it right
⭐⭐ (rare) if 10% to 5.1% get it right
⭐ (common) if 20% to 10.1% get it right
When you win a Stakes NFT, it can be viewed in the Trophy Case section of your profile. Your NFTs are safely held in the Stakes crypto-wallet on OpenSea until you choose to claim them.
To transfer your Stakes NFTs to your personal crypto-wallet, open your Trophy Case, select the “Withdraw” option, and follow the prompts to enter your wallet address and submit your payment. Please allow 3-5 days for processing of the transfer.
The Token ID is the number that identifies your NFT among the other editions minted.
The transaction ID is a confirmation that the NFT is minted on the blockchain. Each time the same NFT is transferred or sold to a new wallet, a different transaction ID is created as proof of transaction.
“Total minted” is the number of editions of this unique NFT that appear on the blockchain. The number of NFTs minted corresponds to the number of users who were awarded the associated NFT.
Like any other NFT, the value of a Stakes NFT is determined by its popularity and rarity. Therefore, there is no fixed value on any NFT and the value can fluctuate based on the community’s interest.
