Ohtani left a game after just 26 pitches and is now considered day-to-day as a designated hitter while awaiting a second opinion on his injury.

It’s unclear if Ohtani will need surgery for his elbow issue, and a second surgery could impact his upcoming free agency. Trout returned briefly but will now be out of baseball activities for at least 10 days.
